CIVIL ENGINEERING AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The Civil Engineering and Project Management Department (CE&PM) has been offering diversified engineering consultancy services in roads, railways, water supply & sanitation, geodetic surveying and project management.
We have been an integral part of history of road construction in Tanzania and have participated in the design field of many projects in the fields of railway, roads, airports, harbors and water supply and sanitation.
The department is structured into three key components; namely roads and surveys, water supply and sanitation and other infrastructures. Other infrastructure segment encompasses engineering trades in railways, harbors, airports and related infrastructures.

The designs are usually undertaken by innovative software’s that guarantees designs that are innovative, safe, and cost effective to match with client’s requirements and expectations. Availability of support engineering services across other departments within the company further enhances our in-house capabilities to deliver quality products in a timely and professional manner.
CIVIL ROADS ENGINEERING SEGMENT
This segment deals with undertaking feasibility studies and detailed designs of urban, trunk and regional roads including support roads infrastructures in major building works. Variety of software are used in the design of road systems that include Civil 3D, Eagle Point, Caddie and others to ensure quality designs are delivered to our esteemed Clients.
Our transportation professionals have designed many highways and urban roads across the Tanzania and East Africa region. Many of these projects have innovation and sustainable design features. What we value the most is designing a safe and efficient project to the satisfaction of the clients.
Topographical surveys, which provide key information required by the road designers, are undertaken by our survey team using a multitude of state of the art survey instruments including Total Stations, GPS instruments, leveling equipment, geodetic instruments, etc. Processing software is used to ensure that accurate 3-D Digital Terrain Modeling is available for designs.
Our team of surveying staff is well equipped and well trained to provide accurate and timely surveys. We are supported with the latest technology, tools and software systems. We understand the importance of land surveying to your project and are committed to doing exceptional work. Some of our flagship road projects include Arusha – Kibaya – Kongwa Road (493Km) spanning across three regions; Dar – Chalinze Expressway under PPP arrangement which is the main arterial road out of the commercial capital of Dar Es Salaam; Conceptualizing Dar es Salaam BRT system and design of BRT Phase 1 Roads (20Km), Design of Handeni – Kiberashy – Singida Road (461Km) which is a highway that runs across four regions; Several other Highways and Regional Roads Design Projects, etc. We are being recognized as one of the most competitive firms in road, traffic and transportation fields, all this coming out of more than 40 years experience and tremendous expertise at our disposal. WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION SEGMENT
We are privileged to have a Water Segment in the Civil Engineering department that is among the leading engineering sectors in Tanzania, designing water supply and sanitation systems. This water engineering segment has been involved in undertaking feasibility study, preliminary and detailed engineering design for highly substantial water resources infrastructures. We try our best to provide high-quality engineering services by systematically conducting the tasks professionally aided by a team of skilled professional engineers and technologies.
Our water segment has the technical resources, knowledge, and multi-disciplinary expertise to bring environmentally responsible water resources solutions that satisfy our clients’ needs and successfully address diverse stakeholder interests and other requirements. Our team of engineering experts applies experiences gained in various technologies to provide technical solutions that are sustainable, and based on sound engineering analysis. The sector has completed several rural water supply and sanitation schemes in Ulanga, Bagamoyo, Kisarawe, Kilombero and Malinyi District Councils serving thousands of people with provision of safe water for their livelihoods. Also, it has successfully completed the Lake Victoria Region Water Supply and Sanitation (LVWATSAN) Facilities project for urban and wastewater treatment plants.
The Water Segment is providing technical services in the fields of water supply and sanitation, water resource management, wastewater management and treatment, water resources development, hydrological studies and analysis, river basin management, etc.

Other infrastructures segment encompasses consulting services mainly on railways, ports and airports including integrated infrastructures. We offer quality consultancy services to conceptualize, plan, manage and complete the infrastructure projects.
We have excellent ability to provide the Client with the best services from the various experiences and technical know-how which have been accumulated overtime, including extensive use of modern software. We are confident to provide the best designs using our experiences, high-skilled professionals, and state-of-the-art software, and we will take the lead in strengthening the technical skills for infrastructure designs (ports, harbors and airports).
